Gowanus Community Center

Second Year, Second Semester Studio Project

Community Center on the Gowanus Canal. One of the two structural systems is a system is made up of steel cables and the other is one made up of of I Beams. These two systems weave in and out of each other to create different spaces of program. The alternation contracts and expands as the building has different levels of transparency and light filtration.
