Living Cell - Studio Apartment
Project in Collaboration with Julia Penchaszadeh Robert
This was a project for the Environments class. The proposal was to create a closed living system that could alter a domestic space. My roommate and I worked on this project together and chose to analyze the fluctuations and spaces of our shared studio apartment. We first documented our daily movements through a series of still photographs throughout the day and compiled them into a video. We then proposed a hydroponic curtain system that can move along a system of rails to separate the two beds from each other, the living space from the kitchen or to serve as blinds to the windows. We documented the project in a series of drawings, animations and renders.
